Appreciating the service of Barbara Males

Writer: Martin RidleyMartin Ridley

So 44 years, 7 months & 29 days ago I rang the bell at Market Hill, Cambridge branch for my first day working for Midland Bank.

Who'd have thought I would last this long .

I've seen so many changes, some good some not so good but I've met some amazing people along the way & have made some fabulous friends for life . But I have now closed my laptop for the final time and whilst it's a very strange feeling I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I'm looking forward to retirement & doing as I please in sunny Norfolk.

Thanks to everyone who sent messages for my card &/or contributed to my leaving gifts, I truly feel humbled.

Here's a couple of photos from my leaving do in Birmingham.
