It is with great sadness that I have to report that our very good friend Reg Gilbert passed away in the early hours this morning 27th July 2021 aged 97.

Reg was District Staff Superintendent for the Liverpool and North Wales areas for many many years before retiring in 1983.

Reg employed me over 46 years ago along with many more staff who remember him with fondness.

Reg always made time to listen and show interest in his past colleagues and always showed an interest in the way the bank was heading recently.

Reg, you were an absolute gentleman to the end. I and all your friends salute you sir... RIP
