Back in the days when there was a Midland Bank International Division (formerly Overseas), there were always a handful of cricket matches played each summer for a representative bank side. The highlight was always the visit of the former Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank. Every two years, International Division used to be invited for a 2 day tour to play two matches against the Dutch bank in Amstelveen followed by a sumptuous dinner in the Directors' Dining Room with a spectacular view over the city. The visit to us was a grand affair too with an all day match at New Beckenham followed by an equally sumptuous dinner. Not to mention a free bar!
