This is a sad note to inform everyone that our regular Horizon Harrow member Bob Cooper, died yesterday aged 65.
He has been taken from us far too soon and more detail of his career in the Bank will follow in the next few weeks. Bob was sociable, friendly, helpful & a lovely person - someone you would want to know.
He will be missed by many. Just to say he started his career in the mid 1970’s at Belsize Park branch where he met many of his life long friends, including his wife Jane. He retired due to ill health from Anti Money Laundering.
Bob has been supported on a weekly basis, especially during the last 8 months, by Horizon Harrow members & life long friends, notably Andrzej Warhaftig & Gavin O’Sullivan who have been absolutely wonderful to Bob.
The photo of Bob was taken at Horizon’s Annual lunch on 15th October 2018 at the International Conference Centre, Birmingham. He has a HOT badge on (Harrow On Tour!) & holding a glass of Peaky Blinder’s Beer- Bob was the only one on our table who drank the beer served as part of a starter, so we all gave him ours!
Rest in Peace Bob and sincere, heartfelt condolences to wife Jane, son Christopher and daughter Emma.
Gregory Farrell.
Chairman London Harrow Centre.
