The Midland/HSBC branch in Stopsley, Luton 403039 is now a Costa Coffee.
All the tables in what was the manager’s office were all taken so I sat just behind where the counter would have been.
I had worked at this branch on relief in the late 1960s and early 1970s and did a spot of managerial relief in the mid 1980s I think it was.
Out of the five branches in Luton at one time there is just the one left.
Have worked in them all at one stage or another.
