I visited Harpenden branch today to wish the staff well and thank them. Branch closed today and was the branch where I started my career 55 years ago.

Very sad day but pleased to hear all the staff are being redeployed. What a shame and I wonder what will take its place at this prime location at 1 High Street on the corner of Station Road.

I took the train there today just as I did nearly 55 years ago.
