Some of the staff at Market Place Romford branch in the early 1970’s.

This photo was taken on an open evening arranged by City & London East Regional Personnel’s office.

The object of the exercise was to encourage school leavers that their future lay in a career with the Midland Bank.

We had to give them an insight of the workings of the various departments in a typical branch.
