Yesterday would have been Naeem Virk's 84th birthday and to celebrate his life we met up with his wife, Jean and his children Johnnie and Ellie. They have all worked in the bank at some time or other with Johnnie still working at Canary Wharf after 25 years.

We were joined by Ellies partner and Dave and Sian Watling who again both worked in the bank.

We had a long lunch at the Bunch of Grapes in St Thomas Street, Southwark and then moved onto the Thames Side pub a favourite haunt of Naeem in our Park Street days.

By chance on the way there we also met Lorraine Holmes and friends, another ex colleague. Small world and a great day in celebration of Naeems life who died on 20th July last year.
