Appreciating the service of Matt Dover

I am retiring tomorrow after 37 years with Midland Bank / HSBC.

Much has changed over the years including business dress codes, as you can see from the attached pictures.

In the early years everything was very formal, you’ll recognise me in the picture from Midland Bank days. That’s me in the yellow Griffin staff uniform!

Latterly and particularly in Agriculture we are more likely to be found dressed for the sector and the weather! The later picture is from one of many pleasant jaunts to Driffield Show.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time, with spells in London, Birmingham and Yorkshire, in a wide variety of roles. It can be amazing what happens when you say yes to things!

I’ve been primarily serving the rural community in the last ten years, and also participating in the internal process change programme, which has been immensely enjoyable.
