Just received some sad news that Eddie Norman who retired as Area Manager Chatham in the late 1980s has died at the age of 89.

He was my first Branch Accountant at Redhill when I joined the bank in 1965 and later became the first manager of Horley branch which is now closed.

He had a good career in the bank and was a good friend and counsellor to me in my early days.

He will be missed.
