MESSAGE KINDLY SHARED BY PETER NAUL.

Just a few minutes ago I was informed by telephone by his wife that Brian Irving my former boss and Operations Manager at Coventry Area Office some 30 years ago has passed away at the age of 87 on 20th September.

I knew that Brian had been diagnosed with cancer of both kidneys some five years ago and had elected to let matters take their course rather than have surgery and resort to dialysis.

Mary said that it had been the right thing to do because they had lived life to the full and been on many holidays and Brian only started to deteriorate after Christmas last year.

The funeral took place last Tuesday and Mary apologised for not letting people know sooner and she is now writing to many and phoning a few of us.

I always got on well with Brian at work and will miss the long letter which I received every Christmas.
