With apologies for the quality of the picture, this Bath Chronicle newspaper photo from my archives was taken in June 1997 following a successful charity golf day organised in the Bank's name in Bath.
Over a period of five years we arranged five successful events raising around £23,000 for local charities and deserving causes. In this picture I'm with Area Manager, David Winnie after presenting a cheque for £1,250 to Gwyn Williams the Head of Summerfield Special School in Bath.
Perhaps evidence of the true meaning of community banking.
