Rubery Birmingham branch 403919 (I believe) which became sub to Longbridge. Loved working here. We used to do a lot of the Multi Service Account paperwork here. Always aimed to be out the door as soon as we could after closing at 3.30 having balanced the tills and locked everything in the safe. The customers were great. Worked with some wonderful people. This eventually became the main branch with us working on the first floor which was previously storage. Longbridge then became the sub. The kitchen was up 2 flights of stairs and I can remember tripping once smashing the tea pot and the manager’s mug. No health and safety then.
