27 August 1974 Today is the 47th Anniversary of the first day I walked into Midland Bank, Aston Cross, Birmingham 40-11-02 at the tender age of 16yrs and 3 weeks old in 1974. I retired after 13 years when I had my children. Staff at that time that I can remember, Mr Roberts - Manager, Tony Davies - Accountant, Fred Cattell - Securities Ron Ralphs - Foreign, Jack Geobey - Messenger. Beverley Adnitt, Gail Phillips, Wendy Godfrey, Helen Brain, Nick Peace, Phil Holmes. Over those years many staff came and went but made friends for life with Sue Mullett , Sue Jones, Yvonne Ansell, Maxine O’Neill. Still is THE best job I ever had.
