28th August 1973 I can't believe that it was 48 years ago that I walked around the block three time before getting up the courage to press the door bell of Fishponds branch in Bristol. It was Bank Holiday Tuesday, it was only a small branch. To make use of me I was given the job of checking account numbers, having deep spoken to by the branch manager in his room.
