I joined Midland Bank High Holborn branch in January 1980. Then moved on to Queensway and Westbourne Grove. I subsequently became a PA in the Chairman's office in Poultry in 1986. I moved to Investment Banking Credit & Risk in 1987 first in Poultry and then 10 Lower Thames Street. When HSBC took over I moved to work for the CFO back in Poultry for 5 years before resigning in 1998.
