I also remember Pete Wishart (who married Marion), Iain Hartley, Linda Pilgrim, Karen (Fox?), Val (No 1 cashier), Suzanne, Richard (who moved to RHO), Lee, Kim, Julie plus, of course Richard ("Can't cashier with a jacket on") Hughes.
I started my career in Midland Bank at Woolston branch in September 1975 at just 16 years of age. I was there until 1978, during which time sweeping changes were made in how items were processed. My worst memory - attempting to "balance the chequebooks, an exercise I always considered completely unneccessary! My favourite memory was going in a taxi twice a week to the sub-branch at the then College of Air Training in Hamble with a bag of money and an aged "Guard"! Mr Welch was Manager and Mr Beswick was the accountant, although others came and went like Roger Stonham and Dudley Coveney.
